Fair Haven Pedal in the Park: The Cayuga County Health Dept will be hosting Pedal in the Park at Fair Haven Beach State Park (14985 State Park Rd, Fair Haven, NY 13064) on Friday, July 19th, 2024 at 10am in the Beach Canoe lot. Injury Prevention Coordinator, Joe Mushock, will highlight bicycle, pedestrian, and wheel sport safety. Children, 3-14 years old, are encouraged to bring their bicycle, scooter, or other wheels to participate in the safety course. No-cost bike helmets will be available to children as needed. Parents and guardians are welcome to    attend as well to learn safety protocols and reinforce the rules of the road. The Town of Niles is now accepting applications to fill a Full Time Highway Department MEO Position.

An applicant needs the following qualifications: have a clean CDL/Class A or B with Air Brakes with one year driving experience, pass a health physical, pass D&A test, strong background in service & maintenance on trucks & heavy equipment, be available 24/7 during the winter including holidays, and be able to report to work within one half hour of being called to work.
